I'm a South Carolina native who enjoys reporting on the intersection of politics and race.
I earned my master's degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where I was one of two Graduate Newspaper Fellows.
My work has appeared in Syracuse's The Post-Standard, Forbes, The Washington Post, USA Today, Public Radio International and NBC.
I love eating dark chocolate, drinking Malbec and reading Octavia Butler novels–all three simultaneously work well together.
